Physical workouts and the right nutrition play an important role in our lives. You’re fitter, stronger and faster, but there’s a whole lot. more to it than that. It provides balance, a release, confidence, control, and the other parts of your life start to click too.
During COVID-19, when lockdown conditions led to significant changes in our routines, the role of exercise became clearer than ever. Using six amateur ‘everyday’ athletes from the UK, Australia, the US and Japan, we told their stories, and highlighted the critical role that fitness and nutrition played in their lives. For some it was recovery from hardship and trauma, others just direction and focus — but for all — the transformative power of fitness was there to see.
